Before joining the Asian Development Bank, Maria Carmela Abadeza built extensive experience in operations, human resources, and project coordination through roles at Aboitiz One/2GO and the World Health Organization, where she supported technical programs, organizational development initiatives, and nationwide and regional operational activities.
Maria Carmela is a Project Analyst with ADB's SD1–Energy Sector Office, where she contributes to maintaining and monitoring the Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility (CEFPF). In particular, she contributes to CEFPF operations, supports funding pipeline management, coordinates with development partners, and ensures high-quality reporting and governance processes across CEFPF supported energy portfolio. She works closely with technical teams and donors to facilitate effective deployment of clean energy financing. She also contributes to capacity‑building and knowledge‑sharing activities, including the coordination of webinars and related initiatives that strengthen skills, disseminate lessons learned, and promote collaboration among stakeholders.
Within the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) team, she provides operational and coordination support, helping ensure the smooth delivery of ACEF's key activities.
