Grace Yeneza is a pioneer and advocate of clean energy development with over 30 years of working knowledge of the Philippines energy sector. She has worked with both government and private sector on energy policy and project development specifically in the field of renewable energy and energy access.
Prior to joining ADB, Grace served as Corporate Planning Director of the National Electrification Administration, and Policy/Program advisor to the Philippine Department of Energy and Congressional Committee on Energy. She also worked with international organizations, such as Winrock International and IRENA as well as multilateral development institutions, including ADB, USAID, UNDP, WB, IFC, JICA, GIZ, and EU, among others. Grace is a founding member and managing director of Preferred Energy, Inc., a Philippine NGO promoting clean and energy efficient solutions since 1996.
Currently, Grace is a consultant of the Asian Development Bank's Energy Sector Office where she serves as Energy Access Technology Expert. She is involved in the preparation, implementation and post project assessment of ADB's pilot projects, and conducts researches in energy access technologies, such as, clean cooking and electrification.
She is part of the consulting team that supports the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) in the preparation and delivery of its sessions, including Deep‑Dive, Spotlight, Sector, Thematic, and Track sessions. In this capacity, she works closely with partners and stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, foster dialogue, and ensure effective session organization. During ACEF week, she serves as a rapporteur, monitoring discussions, capturing key insights, and synthesizing outcomes. She also contributes to the preparation of the post‑ACEF report, ensuring that knowledge and lessons learned are documented and disseminated to a wider audience.
