Prior to joining ADB, he worked at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
He is a Principal Energy Economist in the Energy Sector Office (SD1-ENE) of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), where he conceptualizes the development of ADB's energy sector strategies and policies, and advises on the formulation of the energy sector lending and non-lending project pipeline. He is also responsible for the Energy Sector Trust Fund (Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility) and undertakes analysis and evaluation of key energy sector issues, particularly in the area of clean energy technologies. He also oversees the energy sector finances as the SD1-ENE Budget Manager, ensuring that financial resources are optimally allocated and that expenditures are well-founded in the priorities and objectives of the SD1-ENE. In addition, He is the main focal point for partnerships and knowledge management, contributing to ADB's role as the region's solutions bank through holistic, knowledge-based, innovative, and integrated solutions.
Prior to joining SD1-ENE, he was a Principal Economist in the Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department, where he provided analytical research and technical advice in various disciplines, including power sector development and reform, renewable energy, fossil fuel subsidies, transport, impact assessment, country diagnostic studies, and issues related to economic analysis of investment projects, particularly in the energy, infrastructure, and environment sectors.
He has been leading the organization of the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) since 2019, playing a central role in shaping its vision, structure, and delivery. He has overseen the design of thematic tracks, the integration of cross‑cutting issues, and the engagement of diverse stakeholders from governments, the private sector, academia, and civil society. For ACEF 2026, he serves as one of the co‑leads of the event, with responsibilities that include providing strategic oversight to ensure the Forum's agenda reflects regional energy priorities, guiding program development to foster knowledge exchange and actionable outcomes, strengthening partnerships with governments and development partners, and promoting innovative, integrated solutions that advance clean energy and climate action across Asia and the Pacific.
