Judging for ACEF 2018 Photo Contest

Judging of all photos entered in the contest will start on 16 May and the winners will be announced on 21 May. The judging panel will comprise energy experts from ADB’s energy sector group, the Islamic Development Bank, and special guest judge Sara Black, Celebrity Photographer and Canon Ambassador. The number of likes will be used to develop a shortlist from which we will select the prize winners. The winning photos will be displayed in ADB headquarters during ACEF, as well as on ACEF’s Facebook and Twitter feeds. The ADB Energy Sector Group ADB has been providing assistance to its developing member countries in the energy sector for more than 40 years. Its support has focused on electricity sector expansion programs, training and supporting government energy agencies, power sector reforms, governance, and efficiency improvements.


The Islamic Development Bank is an international Islamic financial institution that fosters the economic development and social progress of member countries and Muslim communities individually as well as jointly in accordance with the principles of Shari'ah (i.e., Islamic Law). The bank participates in equity capital and grant loans for productive projects and enterprises.


Sara Black is a Celebrity Photographer and Canon Ambassador. During her 15 years in the industry, Sara has photographed some of the most high profile celebrities and members of society in the Philippines. She is known as the country’s leading beauty photographer having repeatedly collaborated with clients such as Avon, Nivea, L’Oreal, P&G, Splash and Unilever for some of their biggest campaigns. In a male dominated industry, Sara’s feminine touch leaves a distinct mark. She is renowned for her fresh and arresting portraits of women.
