Anas Rahman Cheriyandilakath

Rahman is a policy advisor for IISD’s Energy program and is based in India. His research concerns energy access, with a focus on solar irrigation, and the electricity distribution sector. His recent work has focused on policy support for sustainably scaling up solar irrigation in India, with special attention given to irrigation access for marginalized farmers through innovative delivery models, and reforming electricity distribution sector through higher integration of renewable energy in the grid. Rahman completed a bachelor’s degree in technology in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in development practice. In the past, he has worked with local administrations to improve public service delivery in sectors such as health, education, and agriculture.
