Arnab Dutta obtained his PhD in chemistry from Arizona State University, USA, in 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Anne K. Jones. Next, he developed biomimetic catalysts for H2 activation with Dr Wendy J. Shaw at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) before shifting back to India. Since 2020, he has been working as a faculty member in the Chemistry Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), where he is pursuing his research interest in creating bio-inspired synthetic catalysts for green hydrogen production and CO2 mitigation. He is co-founder and director of the clean-tech startup UrjanovaC Pvt. Ltd.
