Bayan Abylkairova

Bayan Abylkairova is an energy and legal expert with extensive experience collaborating with national governments, international donors, and development banks. With a background in project management, Bayan successfully managed a UNDP energy efficiency project and played a key role in the development of the Energy Saving Law and energy-efficient construction standards in Kazakhstan. She has also coordinated EBRD and ADB energy projects focusing on green economy initiatives, district heating reforms, and renewables. Since October 2017, she has been serving as Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for two USAID Central Asia energy projects, taking the lead for renewable energy, gender, and education initiatives. Bayan holds a Master of Law from the University of Manchester, UK (2008), and has received numerous accolades from organizations such as UNDP, the Ministry of Energy, and the Renewable Energy Association for her exceptional achievements in promoting clean energy development.
