Belinda Hewitt

Belinda’s work at ADB focuses on enhancing the resilience of infrastructure, cities and communities in Asia and the Pacific. Over the last twelve years she has worked closely with public and private sector, NGOs and international organizations to deliver climate and disaster risk assessments, resilient infrastructure projects and strategies. Belinda’s work in the transport sector includes climate change and sustainability advice for infrastructure projects in Asia, the Pacific, and East Africa, and development of resilient infrastructure plans, strategies and guidance for DFID, ADB, and local government. Belinda is passionate about delivering integrated and creative solutions that being together people, the environment, and technology to strengthen climate and disaster resilience. She graduated with masters degrees in engineering from The University of Auckland, bachelors degrees in science and humanities from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, and is Chartered with the UK Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
