Bernadette Buensuceso is the Director of Outreach and Collaboration at Youth for Energy Southeast Asia (Y4E-SEA). The organization aims to empower Southeast Asia’s youth in driving the region’s energy transition. Under her leadership, Y4E-SEA has notably increased its impact by publicizing an energy compact, which is featured on the UN Energy website and showcased at COP28. She also played a key role in organizing a regional youth forum on SDG7 during the UN ESCAP’s Third Asian and Pacific Energy Forum. Outside her work at Y4E-SEA, Bernadette serves as a Commercial Assistant at Trade and Invest British Columbia. She previously spent four years with the Philippines Energy Regulatory Commission and has lectured at the School of Diplomacy and Governance at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. Bernadette holds a master’s degree in Asian Studies from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
