ByoungDoo Kong received a B.Sc. degree in electronic engineering from Dongguk University, South Korea, in 2007, and a M.Sc degree in electrical and computer engineering from University of Massachusetts, USA, in 2020. He has been working since 2007 at KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Co.). He had worked in various fields such as Sustainable Growth Strategy, ICT projects, safety, and security. He is now a senior manager in the Carbon Neutral Policy Team, of the Carbon Neutral Strategy Department. Recently, he planned KEPCO’s Role and Task for Carbon Neutrality including an intelligent electrical power grid, energy efficiency, carbon-neutral technologies, decentralization of power generation and consumption, and decarbonization of power generation. His research interests include multi-disciplinary research related to power systems, involving economics, information technologies, optimization, and intelligent systems."
