Chi Xiang is the Senior Market Analyst and ASEAN Lead of Climate Bonds Initiative. He works extensively with ASEAN corporates, investors and capital market intermediaries, as well as issuers and relevant stakeholders. He has supported the initiatives by the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum, as well as respective national regulators in the region. His previous role at the Securities Commission Malaysia also witnessed him leading various engagements and initiatives by the Joint Committee on Climate Change with financial institutions, including conducting market readiness assessment, as well as developing sustainability frameworks, strategy and roadmaps for the Malaysian financial industry. Chi Xiang spearheaded a range of sustainable capital market development efforts by the Securities Commission Malaysia, including the development of the Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) Taxonomy for the Malaysian Capital Market, Sustainable Investing Standards for Government-Linked Investment Companies, and the SRI Guide for Private Markets. Chi Xiang holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick, and is a CFA charter holder.
