Dr. Gul Muhammad Khan is currently the Director of Center for Intelligent Systems and Networks Research (CISNR), and National Centre of AI(NCAI), the research centres he established and professor at Electrical Engineering Department UET Peshawar. He has PhD in intelligent System design from University of York, UK. He is the pioneer of Cartesian Genetic Programming evolved Developmental network (CGPDN) providing an indirect method of decoding for neural programs. To date he is the Director of this Research facility. In last 15 years, he has obtained research funding of more than 2500 millions, completed 23 research projects with 5 in progress, with a staff capacity of over 75. The Centre has six PhD and 15 MS researchers working fulltime. He is the sole author of a book published with springer titled: “Evolution of Artificial Neural Development: In search of learning genes”. He has filed three US And six national Patents, published over hundred research articles in Impact factor Journals and Conferences of repute. He was invited as a speaker to conferences in more than ten technologically advanced countries, including US and UK. He has arranged 8 national conferences and one international conference and is on the program committee member of more than ten international conferences. His h-index is 22 and i-10 index is 51 in last 15 years. His cumulative Impact factor is 113.816.
