Ms. MIAO Hong is the Director of WRI's Sustainable Investment Program, managing renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in China. She previously served as Deputy Director of the China Renewable Energy Scale-up Program Phase I, the largest World Bank and GEF project in renewable energy. She also directed the Electrification by Solar PV in Remote Areas of Western China project and managed the Solar PV Project under the China Renewable Energy Development Program. Ms. Miao worked on ADB projects such as the Guangdong Energy Efficiency and Environmental Improvement Investment Program and the Hebei Energy Efficiency Improvement and Emission Reduction Project. She was the China Country Manager for the USAID-funded ECO-Asia Clean Development and Climate Program (CDCP) and the PFAN China Director, successfully linking projects with investors. Prior to joining WRI, she consulted for the ADB and World Bank, focusing on public-private partnerships (PPP) and funds to overcome investment challenges in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
