A development professional, with 20 years of experience in Nepal, currently involved in the transport sector development, focusing on road, bridges and tunnels. She represents Switzerland as a Board Member for Salleri Chialsa Electricity Company established by the Swiss and Nepali Governments in the remote Solukhumbu district of Nepal. She has been providing advisory support to the company since 2011. Prior to this, she had worked with United Nations Development Programme in participatory planning, public private partnership for urban environment and with Practical Action, in the sectors of alternative and non-motorized transports, renewable and clean energy, and urban environmental services. She had provided consulting services to multilateral and bilateral development organizations, such as World Bank, World Health Organization, Asian Development Bank, Department for International Development in various capacities. As a founding member of Women in Science and Engineering Nepal, she has been promoting more women in STEM.
