Appointed as Alternate Executive Director for Japan effective 1 July 2022. Ms. Takahashi is a national of Japan. She received her Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Oxford, England, in 2004, and her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Keio University, Japan in 2000. Prior to joining ADB, she was the Director for Bilateral Financial Cooperation (Asia), Ministry of Finance (MOF) Japan. She has work experience in the fields of macroeconomic and fiscal policy both at the Japanese Ministry of Finance and international financial institutions, with broad exposure to Asia and Europe.
