The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) works to create and sustain an environment conducive to the development of India, partnering Industry, Government, and civil society, through advisory and consultative processes. The CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre is CII's developmental institute on green practices & businesses, aimed at offering world class advisory services on conservation of natural resources. Mr. P V Kiran Ananth heads the energy management and climate change division at the CII-Green Business Centre and has about 24 years of experience in this space. His sectoral expertise spans cement, paper, iron and steel, thermal power plants, and other large industries and MSMEs. Kiran is also a GHG management expert and has worked with many state governments in India to provide policy and regulatory recommendations for the future for low carbon development and has also support Indian corporates in developing their low carbon growth plans. Kiran has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a postgraduate degree in energy management.
