Nishant Arya is the Vice Chairman of the US $3 billion global Indian conglomerate JBM Group and Chairman of Linde Wiemann GmbH, Germany. Today, JBM Group's portfolio comprises 60 manufacturing plants, 10 power plants, and 5 engineering & design centres. The group has a robust footprint across North America, Europe, APAC, the Middle East, and Africa, with a presence in over 37 countries. JBM Group operates in sectors such as Electric Vehicles & Buses, EV Charging Infrastructure, EV Aggregates, Environment Management, Renewable Energy, Artificial Intelligence, and Auto Systems.
Nishant represents the face of today's young and dynamic business leaders. He graduated in Business Administration from Bradford University, UK, and furthered his studies at the London School of Economics. With his innovative ideas and dynamic leadership, he has transformed JBM Group into a well-diversified conglomerate with a global footprint.
Mr. Arya has been instrumental in creating unique business models at JBM Group by strategically synergizing diverse domains, such as energy storage, EV charging, and solar power, towards devising an integrated zero-emission solution fostering a green footprint. He has represented India at the UN climate change conference - COP27. Furthermore, he has also played an active role in global forums such as Dubai World Expo, World Economic Forum, Davos, WBCSD, among others, representing Indian competencies in domains such as the EV ecosystem, new energy, and smart cities.
As a thought leader in the EV domain, Nishant has conceptualized JBM E-Verse, an end-to-end e-mobility ecosystem designed to foster the faster deployment of electric vehicles across the globe. Nishant has committed that JBM electric buses will clock 1 billion e-kms in the next 3 years, saving around 300 million litres of diesel and approximately 1 billion kgs of CO2. Driven by a strong desire to sustain the environment while scaling the business, Mr. Arya has played a pivotal role in transitioning JBM Group from being product-driven to a leading sustainable solutions provider in each of its business domains globally.
Nishant also currently leads multiple portfolios in leadership capacities in several industry bodies in India and across the world. He is the Chairman of the BRICS Global Green Mobility Council, Co-Chair of the BRICS Manufacturing Council, Co-Chair of the CII Europe Council, Chairman of the ASSOCHAM National Green Mobility Council, Executive Council Member of ACMA, Key Member of the SIAM CV CEO Council, and Governing Council Member of IIT Delhi. He was also the youngest Chairman of the CII Haryana State Council.
Nishant has been felicitated in the prestigious Economic Times 40 Under 40. He has also been recognized in the Business World 40 under 40 summit and as the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' by Entrepreneur Media Group, India. Under Nishant’s stewardship, JBM Group is now part of the prestigious Fortune India 500 organizations, and JBM’s manufacturing plants have been felicitated with the Economic Times Most Promising Plants award. The company has also been recognized with the ‘Best Innovation award’ by the World Auto Forum. JBM Auto was awarded the Shared Mobility Solution Provider of the Year by Frost & Sullivan and felicitated for Outstanding Green Energy Initiatives in Electric Vehicles by the Indian Federation of Green Energy.
