Nitin Jain is a Chartered Accountant by profession & holds a CA degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. With more than 24 years of Professional Experience he has sound knowledge in the field of Energy Efficiency, Project Management, Co-financing, Program Implementation etc. He is working as Programme Head (Officer Responsible for Commission), Indo German Energy Programme, EE Programme, GIZ India Office and is responsible for Implementation of the Energy Efficiency in three projects namely EE Industry & Data, Climate Smart Building & Digi Twin. The current projects under him supports Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power for various EE Initiatives and Schemes and Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs to enhance Climate Resilience in Affordable Housing. In the project Energy Efficiency Industry & Data focus is laid on MSME Industries, policies, strengthening of state government bodies, simulation-based trainings, MSME web platform. In the project Climate Smart Building focus is laid on enhancement of sustainability in buildings, thermal comfort, and Energy Efficiency in affordable houses. He is also a Green Finance Specialist awarded by Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), Berlin, Germany. Prior to joining GIZ, he has worked with South East Asia Regional Office of World Health Organization, United Nations handling budget & finance for the SEAR member countries."
