Raoul Kubitschek a German national based in Taipei, is an experienced renewables policy and project development expert with a background in economics and Chinese studies from Heidelberg University. He has a strong focus on regulatory policy and strategic implementation especially for large-scale infrastructure projects like Offshore Wind. Raoul is based in Taipei since 2008 and has worked until 2015 in bilateral semi-government trade bodies facilitating exchanges among others on renewable energy and Energy Transition projects and policies from Germany. Since 2015, Raoul has been working in the private sector in the PV and Offshore Wind sector. He is a sought-after expert on Energy Transition policy introduction and application in Taipei and the region. Since 2020 Raoul is the Managing Director for NIRAS Taiwan Limited, a multi-disciplinary engineering company with headquarter in Denmark. Being a passionate advocate for sustainability Raoul serves on multiple local and international industry associations and NGOs in Taipei.
