Richard Fechner is the President of GHD’s global business consultancy, delivering outcomes in over 40 countries across the asset lifecycle from strategy through to asset optimisation and disposal, and also leads GHD’s deal origination and leading early stage investments in water and energy technology and projects. Richard is Chairman of Meta Renewables, investing in large scale energy transition projects. Richard has deep experience with innovative commercial models and business solutions including alliances, P3’s and capital recycling and has leveraged these models to stimulate value creation and enhanced infrastructure funding. Additionally, Richard has extensive experience in asset transactions and has advised on over $200Bn of capital investments covering energy, oil & gas, transport and resources in Australia, NZ, the Pacific, Asia, North America, and EMEA. Richard has previously held roles in emerging markets and has lived / worked in Pacific Island nations guiding and implementing sustainable infrastructure development.
