Mr. Rio Jon Piter Silitonga, serving as a research analyst at the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), oversees a variety of programme areas aimed at encouraging the adoption of energy efficiency policies and technological advancements within the region. His work emphasizes policy studies, stakeholder engagement, data collection improvement, promotion of innovative business models and EE financing mechanisms, and the development of standards and labeling programs. His efforts align with the objectives of the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC) 2016-2025, which spans main targeted sectors such as buildings, transport, and industry. The APAEC ambitiously targets a 32% reduction in Energy Intensity by 2025, based on the 2005 level. He has authored numerous energy efficiency studies, covering a wide range of topics that include green building, energy management, ESCO, energy efficiency finance mechanisms, demand-side management (DSM), harmonization of energy efficiency standards and labeling, and ASEAN Energy Efficiency Best Practices.
