Sinon started his career at Banpu in 2014 and has taken part in several strategic management roles encompassing finance, investment, and international project management. He has played a crucial role in strategic projects and has been involved in making financial and asset decisions, as well as portfolio management to drive growth in line with the Greener & Smarter strategy. Additionally, he has been one of the driving forces behind the Banpu Transformation. Throughout the last decade, Sinon has participated in the decision-making process and played an important role in the operations of Banpu Group companies with a focus on building growth and creating value. He was involved in the listing of Banpu Power Public Company Limited (BPP) on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2016, the subscription of rights offering to existing shareholders, Banpu NEXT formation via amalgamation, the share acquisition in Sunseap Group Pte, Ltd. (“Sunseap”), and the investment in Durapower Holdings Co., Ltd. (Durapower). In addition, Sinon takes part in the investment decision-making of Banpu’s Corporate Venture Capital unit which invests in startups to expand growth in the Banpu Ecosystem. In 2022 Sinon was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Banpu NEXT Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Banpu providing “Smart Energy Solutions” in Asia-Pacific. Sinon has taken the lead in driving strategic planning, strategy formulation, and the development and expansion of Banpu NEXT's business. Within the first year under Sinon’s leadership, Banpu NEXT managed to generate strong income and profit. Sinon has continued to drive the expansion of Banpu Group's greener energy and energy technology portfolio, locally and internationally. Major achievements include the joint investment in SVOLT Energy Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (SVOLT Thailand) to expand the energy storage business value chain, the establishment of a world-class lithium-ion battery assembly factory in partnership with Durapower Holdings Company Limited, a leading energy storage manufacturer operating in several countries worldwide, in response to emerging trends in the production of automotive lithium-ion battery and energy storage system in the future. With his commitment to creating sustainable growth coupled with his endeavor to value employee engagement through the corporate culture of Banpu Heart, Sinon won the Bronze prize in the Most People-Focused CEO category at the HR Excellence Awards Thailand 2023, from Human Resources Online, Singapore. The Board of Directors of Banpu has resolved to appoint Mr. Sinon Vongkusolkit as Chief Executive Officer of Banpu Public Company Limited, effective on 2 April 2024. Sinon graduated with a master's degree in Global Management pathway in Finance and Business Development from Regent's University London and a bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing Management from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom.
