"Mr. Zhigao Wang is the Senior Program Director of the Low Carbon Cities Program,Energy Foundation China. He oversees the low carbon urbanization work of the organization, including urban planning that adopts Emerald Cities principles; zero carbon ready buildings with high energy efficiency, all-electric design, local renewable energy use and flexible load; urban mobility that promotes walk, bike and public transit; and urban energy and economic transition towards a carbon neutrality paradigm. Previously, he was the Director of Transport Planning in China Sustainable Transportation Center (CSTC), supervised and participated in projects in low carbon urban development demonstration, policy and capacity building. Prior to joining CSTC, Mr. Wang was a Transport Planner in TranSystems Corporation’s Boston office. Mr. Wang has a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University."
