Prof. Tan’s research areas include climate economics, climate change strategy and planning, including adaptation and mitigation strategies to climate change and relative capacity building of government officials, national and regional low-carbon development strategies and planning to implement China’s NDC, address climate change through South-South Cooperation, etc. She has been carrying out valuable theoretical exploration in the modeling and prediction of energy - economy - carbon emission system, emission reduction potential and cost-benefit analysis of the greenhouse gas reduction policy, regional low-carbon development planning and low-carbon roadmaps.
