Kelly Hewitt

Kelly has more than 30 years of energy sector experience. She has extensive experience in power and natural gas market analysis, regulation and reform, energy efficiency, climate change mitigation, and renewable energy. She has worked and lived in developing Asia since 2005. Before then, she worked for private energy companies and as a merger and acquisitions lawyer, focusing primarily on energy sector transactions, including formulating power purchase and transmission access/interconnection agreements. She also served as legal counsel to the Office of Administrative Law Judges at the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and as a regulator (Regulatory Economist) in the Maryland Public Service Commission. After 6 years as Chief of Party for a USAID energy sector project in Bangladesh, Kelly joined the Asian Development Bank in August 2011, where she continues currently as international staff. Kelly is a juris doctorate lawyer and master degreed economist. She also holds an MBA and a Harvard University Kennedy School MPA.
