Gürdoğar Sarigül

Mr. Gürdoğar SARIGÜL (MSc) has more than 35 years of professional experience in the field of conservation biology, sustainable development, environment, nature protection, Green & Blue Economy, renewable energy, Climate Change and low carbon development. He completed his master’s degree in the University of Kent at Canterbury, on Conservation Biology in 2000. He spent more than 20 years in nature conservation including coastal zone management, marine and coastal protected areas. Furthermore, Mr. Sarıgül has more than 12 years EU Commission services unmatched experiences as task manager for Environment, Sustainable Development and Climate Change. Mr. Sarıgül has led the preparations and implementations of 13 annual programs for Turkey on EU pre-accession financial assistance covering 2001-2020 periods in the field of environment and climate change with a total value of more than 1,6 billion Euros. He is a passionate sailor and amateur boat builder who recently joined NAVTEK Naval Technologies as a senior expert on Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Maritime Decarbonisation expert.
