Chintan has nearly two decades of experience in the investment, development and financing of clean technology and decarbonization projects across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region including solar, onshore wind, bioenergy, energy storage, waste to energy and green hydrogen/ammonia. Over the years, Chintan has led investment of over $20 billion in APAC across multiple clean energy technologies. He played an instrumental role in the largest and sector defining green hydrogen transaction globally. In his current role as Business Development Director at TotalEnergies, Chintan plays a key role in the growth of the company’s utility scale Renewable Energy Projects and leads the development of cross border green electricity projects in the region. He is also the Project Director for the 1 GWac Singa cross border project between Indonesia and Singapore.Prior to TotalEnergies, Chintan was Head of Business Development & Commercial (APAC) for Petronas Power Sdn Bhd (Gentari) where he was responsible for leading clean energy investment opportunities in APAC. Chintan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil) from National Institute of Technology, India and a Masters of Technology in Management from CEPT, Ahmedabad, India.
