Mr. Dinesh Kumar Ghimire is currently working as a Senior Hydropower Policy Advisor to the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He is the former Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Government of Nepal. In his Government service career, he was associated with the power sector of Nepal for more than three decades. He led many bilateral and regional negotiation meetings in transboundary water and Power issues with neighboring countries like India, Bangladesh and China. He also was engaged as a Nepal representative in various regional and subregional energy forums like, SAARC Energy Centre(SEC), BBIN, SASEC, BIMSTEC etc. Ghimire received his M. Tech. in Hydroelectric System Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, and his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, India.
