Emy Aditya is a passionate renewable energy professional with over 10 years of experience in clean energy and development projects, with a strong focus on solar PV-based solutions. She specializes in small-scale renewable energy initiatives, rural and island community development, and vocational skills empowerment.For the past four years, she has served as an Energy Advisor with GIZ Indonesia/ASEAN, focusing on technology development and implementation under the Solar Cold Chain for Green Economy (SOCOOL) project. She leads the development and deployment of solar ice maker technology—an innovative solution that harnesses solar photovoltaic energy to power ice-making machines, serving as a cross-sector innovation bridging the energy and fisheries sectors. This sustainable, off-grid cold chain system supports small-scale fishers in remote island communities, enhancing both energy access and livelihood resilience beyond traditional rural electrification approaches.
