Jaimes Kolantharaj is the country focal for ADB energy sector operations in Maldives, India, and Sri Lanka. He also worked on energy sector projects in Bangladesh. He has both processed and implemented numerous energy sector projects in South Asia and is presently engaged in multiple energy sector projects spanning various subsectors in the energy sector. He holds a master’s degree in Power Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and a bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering, from Madras University, India. Before joining ADB, he was a Project Manager in Singapore Power Grid (SPPG) supporting the planning, design, and engineering and project development of transmission and distribution projects. He also has vast experience in the renewable energy, power transmission and distribution sub-sectors and has worked in Europe, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Middle East.
