Jenny Corry Smith has over a decade of experience in research, policy development, and implementation of energy efficiency and energy access programs around the world. As Chief of Programs, she oversees work in CLASP’s regional offices located in China, Indonesia, India, Kenya, Europe, UK, and Brazil. Jenny is responsible for ensuring that all of CLASP’s programs are running efficiently, achieving maximum impact and are ready to scale up to achieve our ambition to make appliances as ‘planet-neutral’ and ‘people-positive’ as possible. In her 14-year tenure with CLASP Jenny led the Low Energy Inclusive Appliances Program, supporting cost and efficiency improvements for off-grid technologies; forecasted appliance efficiency impacts; and designed policy roadmaps for countries across the globe. Jenny earned her Master’s Degree in Public Policy from George Mason University and focused her studies on energy and environmental policies.
