John Robert Cotton

Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership

John Cotton is the Senior Programme Manager for Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). He has been based in Southeast Asia for 20 years, dedicating a decade of which to renewable energy project development and climate change mitigation efforts. John has worked across a gamut of private and public sector roles, ranging from Chief Administrative Officer for a Thai EPC in the transmission and distribution sector, Managing Director of a pan-Asia engineering consultancy, and working in the Southeast Asia COP unit at the FCDO in the build up to COP26. With ETP, John is primarily responsible the design and implementation of programmes aimed at expediting the energy transition across Southeast Asia in accordance with the ETP Secretariat mandate and strategy.
