Moon Pradhan is a seasoned Communications Specialist with over 15 years of experience in strategic communications, knowledge management, and advocacy for social impact initiatives across Nepal. She currently serves as the Communication Specialist for Practical Action's GRIPS 2 Project, where she leads knowledge dissemination, and inclusive communication strategies to amplify clean energy solutions for rural communities.Moon's connection to the solar energy sector began in 2010 when she played a pivotal role in Gham Power, one of Nepal’s pioneering solar companies, where she was responsible for marketing and public engagement during the early adoption phase of decentralized solar solutions in the country. Her journey in clean energy advocacy is interwoven with a deep commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment, which she has championed since 2007 through various leadership and communications roles in national and international development projects.Throughout her career, Moon has integrated Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) principles into technical education, vocational training, and renewable energy programs, ensuring women’s voices and participation are central to Nepal’s sustainable development efforts. She is also an active leader within Toastmasters International and Zonta International, advocating for women’s leadership and visibility in traditionally male-dominated sectors.Moon brings to ACEF a unique perspective at the intersection of clean energy access and gender empowerment, with firsthand experience in community engagement, decentralized energy promotion, and inclusive policy advocacy.
