Olgerts Viksne brings over 16 years of experience at the European Commission, where he worked for the Directorate-General for Energy focusing on the development of trans-European energy networks and addressing critical questions related to the security of energy supply. Currently, Olgerts is part of the Directorate-General for International Partnerships, where he specializes in sustainable energy and climate change. His efforts are particularly concentrated on advancing sustainable energy solutions and grid development in Southeast Asia. Before joining the European Commission, Olgerts worked as a lawyer in an international energy company based in Berlin and Hamburg and as an attorney at law in an international law firm.
