"Mr. Ryuta Suzuki has nearly 30 years of experience in the field of development finance and is currently leading a task group in JBIC to promote Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC). Prior to his current role, he was stationed in Istanbul, Türkiye to establish a new representative office of JBIC. While he served as the first Chief Representative in Istanbul, he found that Japanese energy efficiency technology can be applied by various Turkish industries to comply with the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) introduced by EU. Through collaboration with Turkish development banks, he has launched JBIC’s first GREEN untied loan to support energy efficiency projects. Through his activities in several operational departments in JBIC, Mr. Suzuki has acquired wide range of knowledge and expertise on electricity power sector including transmission and distribution network, energy efficiency technologies, and so on."
