Stephen Nash is the founder of Kuungana Advisory, which he set up in 2015. Prior to setting up Kuungana Stephen was a senior member of energy sector advisory teams at Baringa Partners and PwC. As a seasoned energy sector advisor with over 20 years of experience, Stephen has worked with donors and multilaterals including the UK’s FCDO, World Bank, IFC, EBRD, EIB, AfDB, UNOPS, and USAID since setting up Kuungana. Stephen leads teams providing market studies and power price projections to a growing list of private sector clients, including equity and debt investors in power generation projects, and large energy users. His work spans policy, regulation, energy economics, and commercial and financial advisory work: all the key ingredients required to facilitate investment in the energy sector.Stephen is an expert in regional energy sector projects and has advised multiple clients over the past 12 months on projects that will depend on cross-border electricity trades. He has also recently contributed to a global review of the role of regional transmission infrastructure in supporting renewables integration for FCDO.
