Mr. Suresh Acharya is now Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Government of Nepal (GoN) for last 8 months. With over 33 years at GoN service, Mr. Acharya has accomplished various leadership roles in some Ministries and Departments, including Nepal Reconstruction Authority, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Water Supply, Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation and Department of Civil Aviation and others. Presently, Mr. Acharya is shouldering the responsibility of Chairman of the board at Vidyut Utpadan Company Limited (VUCL), Rastriya Prasharan Grid Company Limited (RPGCL), Hydroelectricity Investment and Development company Limited (HIDCL) and Budhigandaki Jalvidyut Company Limited (BJVCL). Apart from project planning and management, bilateral negotiations and drafting out MoU/Agreement are the specialized areas of Mr. Acharya. He holds Master degree in Technology and Bachelor degree in Law and has received numerous accolades for his contribution in the Government service.
