Umang is an Energy Specialist at under the Energy Sector Group at the Asian Development Bank. He is responsible for the origination, processing, financing, and implementation of loans, grants, and technical assistance for energy projects in Southeast Asia. Previously as an Environment Specialist, Umang helped prepare the Environment Action Plan of ADB. Prior to joining ADB, he worked on planetary-scale climate solutions, with a primary focus on stratospheric aerosol injection. He helped write a book and co-authored multiple papers on the challenges, possibilities, ethics, and requirements of climate engineering techniques. In addition, Umang has also worked on enhancing renewable energy access and identifying productive end uses in Nepal, India, and Rwanda.
