Uyanga Bold

Dr.Uyanga Bold is a Member of the Parliament of Mongolia. Prior to her parliamentary role, she served as Deputy Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry, Advisor to the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry , and Director-General of the National Geological Survey, where she helped shape Mongolia’s geoscience policy. Dr. Uyanga is a vocal advocate for sustainable development, inclusive policy-making, and the integration of science into climate and resource governance. Her career bridges rigorous scientific inquiry and high-level policy leadership with over 15 years, and she continues to champion gender equality in STEM fields and governance. Dr.Bold brings a unique perspective on how science-driven policy can address climate change while promoting gender equality, particularly in resource-rich and environmentally sensitive regions. Trained as a geologist, she holds a PhD from Harvard University and has contributed extensively to international research on Earth’s climate history, stratigraphy, and geochemistry.
