This session showcases four women working to promote a more inclusive framework for financing clean energy infrastructure. A speaker from the World Bank’s Climate Investment Funds will talk about the role of communities in financing climate action and driving a more inclusive energy transition. The founder of Sitron Energy in Thailand who established an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) start-up in the male-dominated solar PV industry, has focused on developing women leaders and promoting gender diversity in the clean energy sector. A speaker from IFC will share her experience supporting incubators to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem and increase inclusion and access to financing for Asia's clean energy infrastructure. A speaker from ADB will describe ADB’s role in the Asia region's transition to net zero and will explain the Just Transition Support Platform. Finally, a speaker from Indonesia’s state utility, PLN, will explain the importance of supporting and empowering entrepreneurs, particularly women and underrepresented groups, to drive sustainable and inclusive development.
