Jason is a researcher and also an assistant professor at the Computer Engineering Department of Ateneo de Davao University in the Philippines. At the same university, he also serves as the director of the Innovation and Technology Support Office, a designated Technology and Innovation Support Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization. Jason was a project leader of a government-funded research that assesses renewable energy potential in geographically isolated areas in Mindanao. His projects have reached multiple communities, providing renewable energy and transformative technology to more than 1,000 families. This is in line with his mission to promote clean and sustainable technologies that support rural economic development in the poorest regions of the Philippines.
