Michiya Hayashi is a climate researcher at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), Japan. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in 2016 and lived in Honolulu, USA, from 2016 to 2020 while working at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
