Janice Cheong is the Deputy Director for Asia at the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), where she leads regional policy advocacy, diplomatic engagement, and institutional partnerships. She plays a key role in communicating country-level route-to-market strategies to government stakeholders through timely and strategic intervention platforms. Her work focuses on advancing policy accelerators—particularly in innovative finance—to help build a robust, scalable wind energy market across the Asia-Pacific.Janice works at the intersection of policy and industry, collaborating with governments, corporate leaders, and multilateral institutions to shape an enabling environment for clean energy deployment in both emerging and mature markets.With over seven years of private sector experience, Janice brings a multidisciplinary perspective shaped by roles in the technology sector, political risk consulting, and intelligence operations. She holds a BA (Hons) in International Relations from King’s College London and an MSc in Security Studies from University College London.
