Syed Jehangeer Ali, is Pakistani national. He grew up in Multan, Pakistan. He is currently working as a Safeguard Specialist at ADB, and taking the lead on climate change standard and contextual risk. He holds an MSc in Economics from Quaid e Azam University, Pakistan and an MA in Public Policy with focus on Energy, Resources, and Environment from Johns Hopkins University, US. Previously, he had worked with World Bank( IDA/IBRD) and IFC on energy, climate change, contextual risk, operations, and policy; and United Nations in emergency response.
