Ghada Ahmed, Project Coordinator, Critical Minerals Lead, Accelerate to Demonstrate (A2D) Facility, UNIDO. She leads the implementation of critical minerals demonstration projects at the A2D Facility. She appraises, reviews, and adjusts project proposals to ensure consistency with national, sub regional, regional, and sectoral priorities and programmes, and with available resources.
Ghada has been the National Technical Coordinator for the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP) Egypt at UNIDO since June 2022. Prior to this, she served as the National Coordinator for the MED TEST project, implemented by UNIDO between 2009 and 2013.
With over 24 years of experience, Ghada has worked across government agencies, international organizations, environmentally funded projects, and the private sector. Her expertise spans various environmental fields, including Solid Waste Management, Hazardous Substances and Waste Management, Environmental Auditing, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), Environmental and Social Management Systems, Water and Marine Pollution, Environmental & Industrial Risk Assessment, Cleaner Production, Resource Efficiency, and Occupational Health and Safety
