Huzaifa Rauf

Dr. Huzaifa Rauf is a Research Scientist and Energy Expert at the LUMS Energy Institute, Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan. His work focuses on electric mobility, battery analytics, AI-driven energy systems, and clean energy policy. He has led and contributed to major initiatives on electric vehicles, battery-swapping systems, battery health diagnostics, and the integration of distributed energy resources into power systems.
Dr. Rauf previously served as Project Manager for the USAID-funded e-Mobility R&D Center at LUMS, where he helped establish one of Pakistan’s first dedicated e-mobility research platforms and led a pilot project on swappable-battery electric three-wheelers in Multan. His work bridges applied research, demonstration projects, policy development, and stakeholder engagement for clean transport and energy transition.
He has also contributed to electric vehicle and battery policy development in Pakistan, including provincial and national-level work on new energy vehicles, charging and swapping infrastructure, battery testing, circularity, and grid integration. His research interests include battery state-of-health estimation, degradation-aware energy systems, EV-grid integration, renewable energy integration, and data-driven decision-making for sustainable mobility.
