Mr. Jigar Arvindbhai Bhatt is currently working as Energy Specialist at Manila, Philippines of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He has contributed to the energy sector for more than 23 years in the government and private sector. Mr. Bhatt holds a specialized Post-Graduation Diploma in the field of Project Management from one of the premier management institutions – Indian Institute of Management, Indoe (IIM-I) and a Degree in Electrical Engineering. He has worked with the state electricity department in Transmission, Distribution, and Generation in India and with the private sectors (Bechtel, L&T Power etc.) in Design, Procurement and Project Management fields. His current role and responsibility at ADB operation is to lead the project and technical assistance program processing and administration in the South Asia region. It involves coordination with the key line ministries, utilities and other relevant concern agencies to develop implementable policies and programs for energy sector in the region. He is deeply involved in the project processing and administering of ADB’s energy sector portfolio in India.
