Setthasit Chardgaroon (Ohm) is currently the Head of Energy Storage System Business Section in the Business Development Division at the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). He also serves as the Project Lead for Vehicle-to-Grid Integration (VGI) and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) Pilot Projects, focusing on integrating electric vehicles and distributed energy resources into Thailand’s power system. He has over 16 years of experience at EGAT, with a strong background in high-voltage substation construction, power system infrastructure, and energy business development. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the development of innovative energy solutions supporting the modernization and flexibility of the national power grid. For the past five years, he has led Vehicle-to-Grid Integration (VGI) testing and pilot projects in collaboration with Nissan Motor Thailand and Mitsubishi Motors Thailand, exploring the potential of electric vehicles to support grid stability and energy management. In addition, he is currently involved in strategic initiatives related to the EV battery ecosystem, including Battery Investment, Battery Swapping Technology, Battery Repurposing, and Battery Recycling, aiming to support the growth of sustainable energy storage and electric mobility infrastructure in Thailand. His current work focuses on advancing energy storage systems, smart grid technologies, and distributed energy resources, supporting Thailand’s transition toward a more sustainable, resilient, and flexible energy system.
