Graciela Marie Juatco

Assistant Chief,
Philippine Board of Investments (BOI)

Engr. Juatco serves as the sectoral champion for mining and minerals processing and the Assistant Chief of the Energy Division at the Department of Trade and Industry - Board of Investments. She has over eight years of experience in industry development and investment promotion, with expertise in project conceptualization and implementation, policy review and development, and advancing industry competitiveness and participation in global value chains. She is actively involved in initiatives supporting the responsible and sustainable development of the minerals industry and her portfolio also includes energy, forestry, and cement, among other non-food resource-based industries. Ms. Juatco is representing the agency in multiple minerals and energy councils and inter-agencies, as well as in international engagements such as the ASEAN and the UN. She is also involved in discussions on free-trade agreements concerning minerals and energy commodities and actively works with other government agencies, private stakeholders, and international development partners such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and the UN agencies. A licensed Chemical Engineer, she earned her degree from the University of Santo Tomas and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Economics at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
