Jessel Agno

Jessel Q. Agno is a finance and energy transition professional with over a decade of experience in transaction advisory. She currently serves as Associate Director at Climate Smart Ventures (CSV), where she leads and supports energy transition initiatives across Asia, working closely with governments, utilities, investors, development finance institutions, and corporate stakeholders to advance decarbonization efforts in the power sector. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and graduate of the University of Santo Tomas with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Jessel combines strong financial and commercial expertise with deep knowledge of energy markets, carbon finance, and sustainable infrastructure. Prior to joining Climate Smart Ventures, she spent seven years with Reyes Tacandong & Co., where she led valuation, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and transaction advisory engagements across a broad range of industries. At Climate Smart Ventures, Jessel has played key leadership roles in several pioneering energy transition initiatives. She is currently part of the Global Coordinator Team for the Transition Credits Pilot Project, one of the world's first initiatives exploring the use of carbon finance to support the accelerated retirement of coal-fired power plants. Her international experience includes serving as Financial Specialist and Team Lead for energy transition studies in Japan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and the Philippines, where she has supported the assessment and development of pathways for the managed phaseout of coal-fired power generation and the deployment of cleaner energy alternatives. Jessel has developed extensive experience at the intersection of finance and sustainability.
